As part of the ongoing renovations at the American Express Mayo Campus in North Phoenix, the design vision called for a sophisticated balance of energy and focus. The architecture required subtle, refined finishes in the quiet zones — conference rooms, huddle spaces, and meeting areas — to support deep work and collaboration. Conversely, the high-traffic employee breakrooms needed bold, energetic focal points. To execute this dual-purpose design intent, the project required a specialized wallcovering contractor capable of installing both highly technical acoustic felt systems and large-scale custom murals within an active corporate environment.

Valley Paint was contracted by Extreme Drywall Concepts to execute the complete wallcovering scope for the renovation. The installation relied on two distinct, premium material systems. In the quiet areas, our specialists installed Mura and Kirei acoustic fabric wallcoverings — materials that provide a clean, matte texture, diffuse light, and significantly reduce ambient noise, creating a more comfortable environment for focused work.
In the breakrooms, we installed custom Dreamscape Terralon murals featuring bold, abstract compositions of geometric and organic forms in warm earth tones. Prior to installation, all substrates were meticulously prepped and sealed with Roman's wallcovering primer to ensure optimal adhesion, prevent creasing, and guarantee a flawless, high-end finish across every surface.

Executing a large-scale wallcovering installation during an active renovation on an occupied corporate campus requires rigorous sequencing and exact precision. The primary technical challenge was the layout and alignment of the Dreamscape Terralon murals — the scale and flow of the abstract designs demanded perfect panel matching to maintain visual continuity across the breakroom walls. The acoustic felt systems required equally precise, clean cuts to ensure seamless transitions in the conference and huddle rooms. Valley Paint worked in close coordination with Willmeng Construction and Extreme Drywall Concepts to stay strictly on schedule, protect finished surfaces, and eliminate any rework.
