fine dining wallcovering, by design
Built on Texture & Light
The design vision for JING Scottsdale centered on creating a luxury dining environment that feels rich, immersive, and visually striking. To achieve this upscale atmosphere, the architecture moved beyond traditional paint, relying instead on a selection of premium wallcoverings to define the space. The design called for a flawless blend of bold botanical patterns, natural textures, and reflective metallic finishes. Executing this level of design — particularly the expansive gold metallic ceilings — required a specialized commercial wallcovering contractor capable of handling delicate, high-end materials with absolute precision.

upscale wallcovering installation
Valley Paint was contracted by Extreme Drywall Concepts to execute the complete wallcovering scope for the new construction project. The installation spanned the main dining areas, private dining rooms, restrooms, and extensive ceiling expanses.
Why These Products Matter
The project featured an exceptionally diverse portfolio of luxury materials, all owner-furnished. Our specialists installed Calamance botanical murals (Daintree and Casa Azul Mestizo Vert Foret) to introduce rich color and depth across booths and feature walls. In the restrooms and private corridors, we installed Phillip Jeffries textures (Palm Paradise and Waves of Wood) to maintain a high-end, nature-inspired ambiance. The defining feature of the project, however, was the overhead installation of Maya Romanoff Precious Metals II in Fine Gold. This standout material was applied across the ceilings, adding a highly reflective, metallic finish that elevates the entire dining experience. Prior to installation, all wall and ceiling surfaces were prepped and sealed with Gardz wallcovering primer to ensure flawless adhesion across every substrate.

precision on the ceiling
for Error Overhead
The primary technical challenge of this project was the installation of high-end metallic wallcovering on the ceilings. Overhead installations significantly increase the difficulty and risk of visible imperfections, particularly with reflective materials that magnify any substrate flaws or seam misalignment. The Maya Romanoff metallic finish required precise layout planning, exact alignment across curved architectural soffits, and extremely careful handling to prevent creasing or damage to the delicate surface. Valley Paint worked in close coordination with Extreme Drywall Concepts to ensure the ceiling drywall was finished to the exacting standards required for luxury metallics. By maintaining strict quality control and proper sequencing within the active new construction environment, our team ensured the final finish was completely seamless.

"The successful execution of complex installations — especially the overhead metallic ceiling applications — demonstrates a high level of skill and reliability. The final result delivers both luxury and performance."
