Project Vision

Our journey began with a clear vision to transform Frites Street into a state-of-the-art food production facility. By focusing on durable and hygienic materials, we ensured that the space would meet stringent industry standards while maintaining a sleek and modern look.

Design Approach

At the heart of our approach was the integration of high-performance materials that offer both visual and functional benefits. Understanding the client’s initial plan to use FRP panels throughout the facility, we recommended an innovative switch to Trusscore wall panels due to availability issues. These panels were installed up to 10 feet from the finished floor in the main production areas, offering a seamless and polished appearance suited to the high standards of a food production environment. The choice was enhanced by the use of Sherwin-Williams Pre-Catalyzed Epoxy, applied onto the walls to create a seamless, waterproof finish.

The Role of Trusscore

Trusscore panels emerged as a pivotal element in redefining the interior of the Frites Street facility, chosen primarily for their remarkable combination of durability and visual appeal. With the project's scope focused on achieving both high hygiene standards and cost-effectiveness, Trusscore proved to be the ideal solution. These panels are known for their superior resistance to moisture, impact, and changes in temperature, making them perfectly suited for rigorous food production environments. Beyond their practical benefits, Trusscore panels contribute to a clean, professional look, enhancing the overall ambiance of the space. This choice allowed us to address availability concerns while still adhering to the client’s aesthetic and functional goals. Ultimately, by integrating Trusscore, we provided a robust and sophisticated solution, ensuring that each aspect of the project aligned seamlessly with Frites Street’s operational needs and design aspirations.

Transformation Story

Faced with product shortages, we adopted a value-engineering approach that introduced Trusscore panels to the main production area —  their advanced composition not only enhanced the facility's cleanliness but also contributed to the  appearance.  Above the Trusscore panels, white Sherwin-Williams Pre-Catalyzed Epoxy provided a consistent, sleek finish. In the storage area, we retained the use of full-height FRP panels for enhanced protection, showcasing our adaptability and dedication to problem-solving.

The production phase of the Frites Street project highlights our skillful approach to transforming a food production facility under challenging conditions. The process commenced with the meticulous framing of the existing brick walls, an essential step to ensure a stable and level surface for subsequent layers. This was followed by the installation of drywall, creating a smooth base for the Trusscore panels that would redefine the internal aesthetic and functionality of the space.

As depicted in the initial images, our team worked diligently to prepare the area, setting the stage for the real transformation. The images capture the transition from bare brick to a sophisticated, hygienically superior environment. After drywall completion, the installation of Trusscore panels commenced. These images reveal a thorough and methodical process, showcasing our expertise in achieving seamless installations, even when addressing unforeseen challenges.

The collection of images tells a story of transformation and innovation, perfectly illustrating the execution of our design vision and the elevated standards we delivered for Frites Street. Photographs illustrates the pristine expanse of Trusscore panels across the interiors, highlighting the sleek finish achieved with Sherwin-Williams Pre-Catalyzed Epoxy above. The new drop ceiling elegantly ties the look together, reinforcing the refined and high-functioning nature of the facility.
